The foundation Metamorphosis is inviting every interested journalist and civil sector representative to apply for the upcoming data visualization training. The participants will have the possibility to experience an advanced open data work, to download open data, to analyze and visualize them via the three free web tools: Infogram, Quadgram and Carodb. The training will take place on 3 June 2016, from 10AM to 6PM, at the GEM club in Skopje. All participants will receive 30-day free promo codes for professional use of the Infogram tool.

The training will be held in English, and the trainer is Ignasi Alcalde, member of Open Knowledge Foundation and active member of the School of Data network. Ignasi is teaching at the University of Catalonia and he is a post-graduate professor for interactive visualizations of information at the UNIR University.

This training is organized by the Foundation Metamorphosis in cooperation with Open Knowledge Foundation within the project “Open Data Civil Society Network”, with the support of the British Embassy Skopje.

The aim of the project is to spur the civil organizations, media and change spurring individuals, via forming the School of Data – Macedonia, to understand and use the official governmental and other open data with a goal to increase the government’s accountability, improving the service delivery and increasing the civil participation in the policies creation processes.
