‘Fighting online hate speech’ training held
The ‘Fighting online hate speech’ training took place on December 20, 2013 in the premises of the GEM club, attended by 16 participants. It was the first training held on this topic and more of these trainings are planned for next year.
The training was started by Mirjana Najchevska PhD, who talked about recognizing and confronting hate speech. Then, the mechanisms for reporting hate speech on social networks were presented, and there was a practical exercise aimed at strengthening the presentational skills of participants.
The ‘Fighting online hate speech’ training is part of the initiative against hate speech, launched by the Youth Educatiinal Forum, Metamorphosis, Reactor and the New Media Center.
