The presentation is part of the project activities conducted within the framework of the Open Access Initiative project in Macedonia, activities that include the strengthening of the public awareness among intellectuals about the advantages and opportunities available with the participation in this worldwide movement, as a prerequisite for using the localized versions of the Dspace software.

Most of the attendants of the presentation were postgraduates studying the subject “Digital Media and Cyberculture” lectured by Dona Kolar-Panov PhD. The discussion covered the general level of scientific production in Macedonia, as well as the legal frameworks used as part of open access, especially in the context of the ongoing process of adopting a new Law on copyright.

This presentation was a follow up to a number of presentations held at several state and private universities in the country.
