Participants in the workshop on openness of education discussed about the experiences and practices with open access, the current trends in the field of open educational resources, and about the tools available in Macedonian and Albanian language. Participants were mostly students from the Technical Faculty of the University of Pristina and representatives of Free Software Kosovo. Publications of Metamorphosis from this particular field were presented and handed out at the event..
During the second day, a presentation on online privacy was held, covering practical examples of privacy violation, identification of the needs to know our rights and responsibilities when it comes to our privacy online and specific measures that may be taken. The presentation covered the modern social networking services, privacy policies, as well as hazards to the safety of children, the occurrence of cyber-bullying and recommendations for adults on how to prevent this.
The guide for privacy protection on Facebook was also promoted, as well as the guide for creating privacy policies, all the materials for protection of children’s privacy and safety online, and the materials in preparation which are soon to be published in printed or electronic form were also announced.
