Two lectures on privacy policies for entrepreneurs held
In order to raise the awareness for protection of internet users’ privacy among the members of key target groups, the Metamorphosis team held two presentations in the autumn of 2011 as part of the trainings for opening e-shops, organized by Exquisite in the Yes Incubator.

Seventh International Conference e-Society.Mk 2011 held
The Seventh International Conference e-Society.Mk 2011 on the topic “ICT and environment: The Waste Side Story” has been held. The conference provided a venue for gathering representatives of institutions and organizations working on development of information society and its impact on the environment, specifically on environmental IT solutions and e-waste (waste from electrical and electronic devices).

Public debate: Campaign instead of high penalties for greater environmental awareness
The public debate on the topic ‘Campaign instead of high penalties for greater environmental awareness’ was held on November 29, 2011 in the EU Infocentre. The debate was organized by the Youth Education Forum, with the following speakers: Elena Ignatova (Metamorphosis Foundation), Antonio Jovanovski (Go Green), Kiril Arsovski (Research society of student biologists) and debaters from the Youth Education Forum.

Open Event on the topic ‘Education and the Internet’
An open event on the topic ‘Education and the Internet’ organized by the Citizens Association ‘Internet Hotline Provider Macedonia’ was held on October 12, 2011, in the MKC Club restaurant.The lecture intended for teachers and parents was held by Violeta Gjorgjievska from Internet Hotline Provider, Irina Shumadieva from the Metamorphosis Foundation and Michelle Bush – EU expert on children’s safety online, who held a comprehensive presentation on this topic.

‘Film night’ held
The screening of the film ‘Wasteland’ took place on May 28th, 2011 in Menada, organized by the NGO Go Green. Go Green is part of the National e-Waste Management Advocacy Network and this event is organized within the framework of the project ‘Balkan e-Waste Management Advocacy Network’.

Second workshop ‘Raising awareness about the benefits of e-waste’ held in Kratovo
Association ‘Izvor’ from Kratovo, as part of the Macedonian national e-waste management advocacy network held the second workshop on the topic ‘Raising awareness about the benefits of e-waste’ on May 24, 2011, where representatives from NGOs and the business sector participated, as well as civil society organizations, youth associations and the local population.
