BarCamp is a unique international conference for specialists on New Media. It is hold for the first time in Baltic states and there are no analogous events in the region. Conference dedicated to New Media and Internet, blogs, podcasting, social networks, web-project development, Web 2.0 etc.
BarCamp Baltics 2008 is one of the biggest new media events of the year in Eastern and Central Europe. The event will unite more than 300 participants who are interested in new media, blogging, social software, etc. All of them will convene in Riga February 8-10, 2008 to meet, present, discuss. The format of the event will follow that of an un-conference, relying on peer-learning as a platform.

There is financial aid available for participants from the developing countries. Main working languages would be Russian and English.
