Markus has 21 years’ experience in the news media business – 5 as a journalist and producer in Germany, and the following 16 years in commercial roles first for The AP, and then for Streamworks International, a global streaming company that delivers unrivalled real-time streaming experiences across any network, to any device, and is the real-time streaming partner of choice to some of the world’s leading front line video news organizations. His formative editorial experience puts him in a unique position to understand news workflows and content requirements, and he has developed strategic business skills working with broadcast, print and digital news brands across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Markus’ goal is to draw on his expertise, commercial successes, the richness of contacts in news media, as well as his future vision for established news brands, to build new digital business models and viewing experiences for video news.
