The Metamorphosis Foundation promoted the first mobile application against hate speech, aiming to bring information from this area to the fingertips of mobile phone users. It is developed in order to more effectively combat hate speech, enabling citizens a fast and innovative approach to the latest news in this area, and access to educational and expert resources, such as the library with e-books, interactive tutorials about the various opportunities for reporting hate speech, as well as participation in events related to the fight against hate speech through an integrated calendar.
The application, which is the first mobile app of this kind in the world, is available for free download for users of the most popular operating systems Android and iOS
(iOS is used by users of iPhone and iPad) via the nemrazi.mk/app link.
The application was promoted on December 11, 2014, at the International Conference “e-Society.mk” on the topic of “Human Rights on the Internet – Freedom of Expression,
Hate Speech and Privacy in the Digital World”.
The application was developed with the generous support of the OSCE Mission to Skopje and the Embassy of France in Macedonia, and is part of Metamorphosis’ efforts for sharing knowledge and encouraging active citizen participation in the resolution of societal problems, within the framework of the wider initiative against hate speech. These efforts are in synergy with the National campaign against hate speech, which is part of the international movement against hate speech, initiated by the Council of Europe (No Hate Speech Movement).
