The Balkan News Truck is starting its journey across 20 cities in six Western Balkan countries: Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia, from September to November 2025. The first stop is Prizren, Kosovo, on September 8, followed by Mitrovica on September 9, Peja on September 10, and wrapping up the Kosovo tour in Prishtina on September 11.

The Balkan News Truck is a travelling media space that explores news, images and critical thinking. At each stop, it sets up in central public spaces to offer screenings, quizzes and discussions about how information is produced, shared and perceived. A chance to come together, share ideas and look at the news from a different angle. The goal is to promote critical thinking, media literacy and open dialogue about the role of information and the impact of disinformation in everyday life.

Why talk about media and information literacy? Because we’re all exposed to a constant flow of news, on social media, in the press or simply in the street. But how can we tell what’s true, what’s exaggerated,

and what’s completely false? Media and information literacy is about learning to sort fact from fiction, understand how information is made, and sharpen your critical thinking skills.
