The Metamorphosis Foundation actively works to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations for cybersecurity in supporting their constituents, especially vulnerable groups, to increase their resilience to cyber threats and practice regular cyber hygiene.
As part of the activities to improve knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, and within the framework of the project “CyberShield: Empowered Citizens for Cyber Resilience”, the Metamorphosis Foundation is planning two one-day trainings for representatives of civil society organizations and civic activists.
The first training will be held on April 9, 2025, while the second training will be held on May 7, 2025. Both trainings will be held in Skopje, at the offices of the Metamorphosis Foundation. For participants coming from outside Skopje, travel expenses in the amount of a return bus ticket will be covered.
The training will include practical tips on creating and managing strong passwords, the importance of two-factor authentication (2FA), how to recognize phishing attacks and malware, safe use of public Wi-Fi networks, as well as recommendations for protecting personal data on social networks. In addition, the risks of using insecure applications and links, the importance of regularly updating software and using antivirus solutions will be discussed. The training aims to strengthen the digital habits of participants and protect them from potential cyber threats in their daily use of the Internet.
Organizations that will be part of the trainings will have the opportunity to apply for mentorship to design personalized digital security plans, in order to strengthen their capacities and foster the effect of strengthening collective resilience to cyber threats through these empowered activists.
The registration form is available at the following link.
Registration for participants is open until April 1, 2025.
The project “CyberShield: Empowered Citizens for Cyber Resilience” is supported by the National Interventions grant for the regional project “SMART Balkans—Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” implemented by Centar za promociju civilnog društva (CPCD) (Center for Civil Society Promotion), Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) and the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM), and financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
