EU commission has initiated the 6th call for proposals with an objective to address key issues that are of concern across the region, such as the improvement of public services, institutional reinforcement, decision making and democratic processes with indicative budget of 5 M €. The action should enable the public administration in W.
Balkans to reach a higher productivity and equity, i.e. to serve all citizens while being responsive to individuals’ needs, and to increase active citizen participation on the basis of innovative, secure and open ICT.

Action plans of Western Balkan Countries (WBC) for eGovernment are realized only in part and too often systems do not conform to EU policies and requirements, thus reducing productivity and efficiency. A low level of awareness of interoperability issues and cooperation potentials as well as a lack of technical management capabilities add to the obstacles regarding EU conformance.

Project We-Go is one of the FP6 projects addressing these issues and the resulting needs with a tailored "We-Go" bundle which is built on existing best practice expertise from high level partners with demonstrated leadership in the respected fields.
WeGo project partners from Macedonia are the Institute of Informatics at the Sts. Cyril and Methodius University, Macedonian Association for Information Technology (MASIT) and the Metamorphosis Foundation.
