Within the 19-th edition of the international conference „e-Society.mk“ on the topic „Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights: Finding the Right Balance between Innovation and Responsibility” that Metamorphosis Foundation is organising on December 19th 2023 at Hotel Marriott – Skopje (hall Ballroom I), the first panel discussion is going to focus on “Ethics by Design: Building Inclusive and Non-invasive Technological Solutions”.

In this digital age, the ethical dimensions of technology have never been more essential. The rapid advancement of digital solutions and services has the power to either serve as a driving force for positive change or deepen existing inequalities. This session highlights the importance of ethics by design, emphasizing the creation of technology that respects privacy, promotes non-discrimination and truly meets the diverse needs of citizens. By addressing these critical ethical concerns, we can work toward a future where technology serves as a means to empower and include, rather than marginalize or invade, various segments of our society.

Speakers on this session are:

  • Festim Halili, Director, Fund for Innovation and Technological Development
  • Zorica Velkovska, Co-Founder of Centre for Social Innovations Blink 42-21
  • Kris Shrishak, Senior Fellow, Irish Council for Civil Liberties (Germany)
