The Metamorphosis Foundation is organizing an online event for promoting the results of the Assessment of the Situation of Good Governance in the Local Self-Government Units in the Republic of North Macedonia for 2022. The results of the Assessment of Good Governance in North Macedonia and the Region through the Openness Index as measured for 2021 will also be presented.
The event will be held on September 13, 2022, starting at 10 am.
The assessment of good governance in North Macedonia and the region results from comprehensive empirical research based on the Openness Index. Its purpose is to determine the degree to which the principles of good governance are respected in the region. The paper provides an in-depth analysis of the work of the executive power and the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, but also provides a summary of the overall performance of the respective institutions in our region.
The assessment of the state of good governance in the local self-government units in the Republic of North Macedonia for 2022 contains the empirical analysis of all 80 local self-governments plus the City of Skopje.
The event is organized in order to provide space for discussion and debate between citizens, the media, representatives of local governments, representatives of the central government and the civil sector.
