On February 25, 2022, the Metamorphosis Foundation, as part of the USAID Civic Engagement Project, organized a final coordination meeting to improve transparency and open data of the local self-government units. At the meeting were presented the implemented activities and finalized documents that were prepared as a result of the support received by 20 municipalities.
In the past period, the Metamorphosis Foundation provided direct support to the following 20 units of local self-government to improve transparency and openness in their work: Karpoš, Gjorče Petrov, Lozovo, Plasnica, Struga, Novaci, Kruševo, Demir Hisar, Mogila, Gazi Baba, Demir Kapija, Valandovo, Konče, Vasilevo, Gevgelija, Strumica, Dojran, Radoviš, and Kriva Palanka.
During the months of January and February, each municipality worked on the preparation of open data sets that will be published on their websites in the coming period.
The implemented activities contribute to the efforts of the municipalities to be more open to the citizens and to base the transparency on open data and information.
