The Executive Director of the Metamorphosis Internet and Society Foundation, Bardil Jashari, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, in charge of good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, with the aim of preparing a new Strategy for Transparency of the Government of The Republic of North Macedonia, which will contribute to improving the transparency and accountability of the Government and institutions based on the principles of cooperation with civil society and exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The transparency strategy will aim to connect and harmonize the already adopted policies, which directly or indirectly aim to improve the transparency of the institutions, but also give provide guidelines for improving the transparency of the institutions. With the creation of this strategic document, the rules for communication between institutions and citizens and the principle of transparency will be operationalized and improved. The aim of the Strategy for Transparency of the Government, which will be prepared in a consultative process with stakeholders with the support of the Metamorphosis Foundation, is to bring about systemic changes in relation to good governance.
