Seventy-three years ago today, on 10 December, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. From then until today Article 1 which reads “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights” is the basis for the development of any democratic society.

Climate change, the aftermath of the second year of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the development of digital technologies have posed a number of challenges to the protection of endangered human rights. Discrimination and inequality are spreading in all segments of our daily lives.

Standing at the crossroads where each of us must choose the right path, the Metamorphosis Foundation, as before, will continue to aim at the promotion and strengthening of human rights, the strengthening and advancement of democracy. The basis of our work and action is to work even harder and promote freedom of thought and expression, stop discrimination and protect privacy, as one of the most important human rights in the digital sphere and beyond, as key preconditions for the well-being of each individual in society and a prerequisite for building a healthy and developed democracy.

We believe that accurate and verified information is a must for democratic decision-making based on science and crucial to building trust and equality.

The Metamorphosis Foundation congratulates the 10 December, International Human Rights Day, and invites everyone to join us in promoting and strengthening these rights in our communities.

Happy International Human Rights Day!
