Open Education Week 2020 is one of the most prominent global events that recognize the high achievements and excellence in open education. OE Week started on 2 March and will last until 6 March this year. The goal is to raise awareness and show the impact of open education on teaching and learning around the world.

Open Education Week is founded and coordinated by Open Education Global (formerly known as the Open Education Consortium), an association of universities, colleges, schools, and organizations around the world dedicated to the ideals of open education. Throughout the week, work across a dozen categories is displayed, including live events, face-to-face meetings, websites, projects, and resources. Participation, of course, is free and open. More information on Open Education Week 2020 is available on the official website.

Within the Open Education Week 2020, the Metamorphosis Foundation, through the activities of the Open Educational Resources project, implemented with the support of the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia, will hold a dozen presentations and workshops for primary education teachers. Through these visits, about a hundred teachers across the state will be enabled to learn to use and create Open Educational Resources. The Metamorphosis Foundation is open to collaborating with all stakeholders who strive for quality education for all students, regardless of the language of instruction, place of residence, or availability of textbooks for their school.
