The panel discussion was organised within the International Conference “e-Society.Mk” which is organized according to the National Strategy for Information Society as part of the efforts toward meeting the priority needs – raising public awareness and enhancing the knowledge in this sphere by the speeches given by international and local experts.

Keynote speakers at the panel were Ms. Njomza Qerimi, Teaching Assistant at the Communication Sciences and Technologies, SEE University, Tetovo, Mr. Christian Moeller, Project Officer, Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Mr. Goce Armenski, Member of the Task force for development of National Strategy on Information Society and Teaching Assistant, Institute for Informatics, Skopje and Mr. Zoran Bojarovski, Deputy editor in chief, Forum plus, and Lecturer, MIM. Dr. Marjan Gushev, Board Member, Foundation Metamorphosis and professor at the Institute for Informatics, Skopje moderated the discussion.

More than 70 participants had the opportunity to get involved in the discussion and to ask questions. The discussion imposed the issue what is more important – cheap/free internet access or content. The need of Macedonian ICT explanatory vocabulary was also stressed. According to the National Strategy for Information Society this project is to be implemented by the Foundation Metamorphosis and the preparations are close to an end.
