The four hour seminar consisted of two sessions. During the first session, the types of internet threats were presented, as well as the risks to privacy and security of children, and the role of teachers and parents in the process of proper guidance and counselling for avoiding and dealing with these problems.

The second part of the seminar was reserved for a discussion about actual events from Macedonia and the world – providing important lessons on the protection of children’s personal privacy and security.

At the end, several recommendations were provided for useful children’s software, which can be used both at home and in the classroom, encouraging creativity and strengthening various skills. Also, there was a presentation of several programs that parents can use to monitor, filter and restrict the contents for their children.

This seminar should help the school’s managerial staff in the preparation of policies for raising the level of children’s privacy and security in the school, while they’re using internet and mobile devices.
