Regional workshop ‘Innovate for Good’ held in Belgrade
Together with NGO TechSoup Global, Microsoft hosted the regional ‘Innovate for Good’ workshop aimed at empowering young people in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, on October 18th and 19th. The workshop took place at Microsoft Serbia’s offices, gathering 50 participants from seven countries in the region.
Under Microsoft’s YouthSpark initiative, ‘Innovate for Good’ workshops aim to help young people explore together their interests in social change, with technology as a tool to help them. During the two-day workshop, participants from various social spheres and NGO sector explored how new technologies can be applied and directed towards building social change and creating a better future for youth and their communities. As the host of this year’s regional Innovate for Good event that took place in Belgrade, Serbia also welcomed representatives from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.
The Metamorphosis Foundation participated in the event as part of a broad collaboration with TechSoup and Microsoft which includes capacity building of NGOs and educational institutions through trainings and software donations, and which is currently taking place in Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.
