The influential Macedonian blogger Jane Gjorgjioski – Ribaro published his collection of short stories “From Cabaret to OZ” as an e-book, available for download free of charge under the Creative Commons license.

The book “From Cabaret to OZ” is the first work of Jane Gjorgjioski, who is also publishing literature works on his blog Ribaro, and is also using it for progressive social activism.

Seen through a post-modernist prism, we can consider this book to be a structurally divided novel, and the intensity of the stories is progressively increasing throughout the whole book. The texts were originally published on the author’s blog, and the print edition was published by the “Aquarius five” publishing house within the frames of the edition “Blog records”

The texts were originally published in electronic form – as blog posts, so getting them back in the format that they were initially created in, seemed reasonable to me. The effect is complete if the book moves freely throughout the e-space, instead of being trapped among covers. The work’s availability is what helps it reach its goal – to be read by a greater audience – stated Gjorgjioski.

The e-book is available for download through the Creative Commons authors’ contents portal for Macedonia, with a purpose of providing easier access to works that all free culture advocates are interested in, and providing free storage web space to all the authors who don’t have a website of their own.
