Good Governance: Vistinomer.mk
By launching Vistinomer.mk, the Metamorphosis Foundation provided the public with one more tool for increasing the accountability and responsibility of parties before the citizens.Vistinomer.mk analyzed the promises of the political subjects and presented them in an easy to read, aggregated form, along with systematic statistical data. Each of the identified promises was evaluated according to its degree of fulfillment: fulfilled, partially fulfilled or unfulfilled. Promises considered to be illogical or stated in a way that does not allow the promises to be verified were deemed inconsistent. By familiarizing themselves with the promises and arguments from the explanations, citizens were being educated on how to read and interpret the election programs and platforms, and to measure and assess the extent of fulfillment of the promises. Vistinomer is monitoting the implementation of the pre-election promises of the winners in the 2011 elections, as well as the statements of politicians that can be classified as promises between elections. The basic purpose of Vistinomer.mk is to increase the knowledge of citizens, media, NGOs, and the knowledge of parties and party members by being familiarized with numerous aspects of the political process in Macedonia through Vistinomer.mk..By launching Vistinomer and the web-application Glasomer.mk, the Metamorphosis Foundation continued the regional cooperation with citizens’ associations ‘Zašto ne’ from Bosnia and Herzegovina and LiNet from Serbia in applying new technologies for greater transparency, supported by the American non-profit foundation NED (National Endowment for Democracy), financed by the US Congress, as part of the efforts for democracy development in the region..Back to Good Governance
