Openness of municipalities in the Republic of North Macedonia

The Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society, within the USAID’s Civic Engagement Project, assessed the state of good governance in 17 units of local self-government in the Republic of North Macedonia for 2020. The infographic shows the results of a survey based on the Openness Index.

The 2020 survey of the Openness Index showed a low level (40%) of compliance with the principles of good governance by local self-government units. The best results in the measurement for 2020 showed the Мunicipality of Ohrid. The average transparency of the municipalities is 42%.

The visualization has been prepared in Macedonian, Albanian and English.
