The Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society, through its programs Social Accountability and Human Rights Online, strives to strengthen the role of the civil society sector in increasing the transparency and accountability of state institutions, local self-government and the private sector and promoting the right to freedom of expression, education on the right to privacy, the fight against hate speech on the Internet. The activities that Metamorphosis implements within these programs aim to create an environment in which the voice of the citizens will influence the creation of solutions to problems, providing information and tools on how to demand accountability and improve the attitude and trust of citizens towards institutions.

Within the Human Rights Online program, the Metamorphosis Foundation is hiring a project manager.

Main responsibilities:

• coordinate the support that “Metamorphosis” offers to state institutions;
• coordinate activities for raising the awareness of citizens and local civil society organizations on how to protect their rights on the Internet;
• follow current developments and development processes for the protection and promotion of human rights online;
• actively advocate and support institutions to improve their policies and practices in the field of protection and promotion of human rights online;
• realize all project obligations in a timely and quality manner;
• cooperate with the colleagues in “Metamorphosis” for the overall successful implementation of the projects and program activities.

The manager will be supervised by the Director of Programme of the Metamorphosis Foundation.

Requirements and personal skills:

• completed higher education;
• project management skills;
• timely communication with a large number of partners/parties;
• communication skills;
• analytical skills and willingness to learn;
• positive attitude and ability to work with strict deadlines;
• high level of knowledge of Macedonian and English language (oral and written);
• willingness for business trips in the country and/or abroad.

Type of engagement

The manager will be employed for a fixed period of 1 year and with the possibility of extending the contract.
