Starting from September, payment of pension contributions would be paperless, i.e. over internet. Accountants from 3.000 companies are trained for that purpose. Pension contributions for the previous month should be paid by the eight day in the following month.
Training for accountants performed by the Fund for pension and invalidity insurance started in Ohrid and Strumica in July and ended in Skopje. There are about 60.000 companies in Macedonia, but only 3.000 attend the free training.
“This is just one step of the reforms of payment of contributions. By September, when the e-payment should start, a campaign will be conducted that will encompass employees of the rest of the companies. The conducted training was evaluated very well and the accountants are satisfied,” said Ms. Branka Bugariska of the New Moment, consulting agency of the Fund for pension and invalidity insurance.
Information centre would be established and each company would have its own code that must be obtained by the Fund for pension and invalidity insurance in order to be able to use the software.
