Social Accountability
“Citizens have the power but also the duty to demand accountability from the authorities. In the commitment to demanding accountability, citizens receive support in advancing their knowledge, especially for the use of information technology.”
Social accountability is the key approach to addressing governance issues. This enables the direct presentation of information related to the interests and priorities of citizens to government officials who have the capacity and mandate to act and make that change happen. This approach will effectively contribute to the creation of citizen-oriented authorities at all levels, based on the principles of good governance.
