Kick-Off meeting of the project “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA” in Belgrade, Serbia

The initial Kick-Off meeting of the Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA project partners took place in Belgrade, Serbia between March 02-03, 2020. The meeting was attended by representatives from the leading project partner Metamorphosis Foundation (North Macedonia), as well as partner organisations, e-Governance Academy (Estonia), Levizja Mjaft! (Albania), CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (Serbia), NGO 35 mm (Montenegro), and ODK – Open Data Kosovo (Kosovo), .

This meeting served for the partners to discuss the project dynamics, the upcoming activities and future actions, as well as to identify possible shared challenges and good practices from their respective countries.

The projects main aim is to increase the engagement of the civil society organizations (CSOs) in the shaping and implementation of the Digital Agenda in the Western Balkans (DAWB). In its three-year duration, the project will invest its capacities in building the capacities of the CSOs and the media for tackling challenges related to the Digital Agenda, and empowering them to become active participants in the process, while also enhancing their role in aiding the state institutions to better exploit the potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in order to improve the quality of their e-services to the citizens and increase their openness. Through trainings and awareness raising activities through a network of CSOs promoting digital literacy, skills and inclusion at regional, national and local level, the project will further work on the strengthening of the online trust and security, increasing the visibility of issues related to Digital Agenda within civil society and media, and increasing the citizen demand for quality e-services.

The “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA” project is implemented by Metamorphosis Foundation (North Macedonia), e-Governance Academy (Estonia), Levizja Mjaft!, CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (Serbia), NGO 35mm (Montenegro), and Open Data Kosovo (ODK). The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
