Foundation Metamorphosis in cooperation with the association Internet Macedonia organised training for journalist on “Liberalisation of the telecommunications market and increasing internet penetration in Macedonia”. The training took place in the Metamorphosis’ premises on December 23, 2005.

The adoption of the new Law on electronic communications and establishing of the Agency for electronic communications as independent supervisory body create framework for efficient liberalisation of the telecommunication market in Macedonia. The training’s objective was to clarify the liberalisation process to the journalists, to identify major challenges and to explain the role of the key institutions in this process.

Presenters at the training were: Zharko Angelovski, procurement manager, Pakom computers, Vladislav Bidikov, student at the Electro-technical faculty, Aleksandar Nikolov, president of Internet Macedonia, Dimitar Bukovalov, head of the Communications sector, Ministry of transport and communications, Jovan Petrov, member of the working group for NSDIS, Kosta Trpkovski, director of the Agency for electronic communications, Slavica Nasteska, head of the telecommunications sector, Agency for electronic communications, Risto Topalov, student ant the Electro-technical faculty and Filip Zafirovski, student at the Electro-technical faculty.
