We are pleased to invite all interested students, startups in the field of IT and all IT enthusiasts to apply for participation in the second edition of the online Open Data Hackathon which will be held from 30 November to 3 December 2021, as part of the 17th edition of the International Conference “e-Society.mk”. The Hackathon is organized within the USAID Civic Engagement Project.

  1. What is an Open Data Hackathon?

The “Open Data Hackathon” is a 4-day challenge in which participants need to develop a creative solution for the promotion of the open data concept. The main goal of the Hackathon is to bring open data closer to all citizens and present the concept simply and innovatively.

  1. Who is eligible to participate?

Teams composed of students or startups in the field of IT are eligible to take part in the Hackathon. The members of each team must know programming, design, economics, marketing, etc. A team can have at least three and a maximum of eight members. One company (* startup company) can register only one team.

*A startup company is a company that is not older than six years, which has or is still working on developing an innovative product or service and is in an early investment phase

  1. Prize fund for the winner?

The winner of the Hackathon will receive $ 3,000 funds intended to develop the demo version (proposed and developed during the Hackathon) in a functional application.

The registration of the teams is open until 24 November 2021, 16:00. The Registration Form is available at the following link and should be filled out by each team member individually.
