Privacy protection and media / 06.08. (Thursday) / 13: 30h / Length 45min-1h

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) standard and the new Law on Protection of Personal Data will be covered. The obligations and possible penalties arising from the law which are especially important for the media but also for the citizens. The webinar will also address the issue of establishing a balance between private and public interest as a key mechanism for respecting the privacy of persons reported in the media.

Lecturer: Elena Stojanovska

MSc in Communications with extensive experience in the field of privacy protection. In the period from 2005 to 2014 she worked as an advisor for international cooperation and public relations in the Directorate for Personal Data Protection, and since then as an analyst and researcher in the field of personal data protection. In addition to the right to privacy, her field of interest includes media regulation and information-communication theories. Since 2016, she has been part of the Metamorphosis Foundation team as a grant coordinator for the USAID Civic Engagement Project. In addition, she actively contributes to projects closely related to the protection of privacy as a human right.

 

Cybersecurity Incident Management – Because Incidents Do Not Solve Themselves! / 12.08 (Wednesday) / 13: 30h / Length 45min-1h

 

At a time when we hear about a new cybersecurity event literally every week, organizations need to prepare for an appropriate response. The workshop will have an interactive format – the listeners are participants in the incident and will have to deal with the event!

 

Lecturer: Bozidar Spirovski

He has worked for more than 20 years in several industries as an engineer, head of technical teams and head of information security teams. He currently works as Chief Information Security Officer at H4 and focuses on developing a successful and integrated information security team that helps the organization manage information security. Previous experience includes seven years at Telekom, over ten years at NLB Bank as Chief Information Security Officer and Head of IT Operations and one year at EVN Macedonia as Chief Information Security Officer.

Founder and mentor of the BeyondMachines Young Engineers Mentoring Program.

Participated in several regional conferences as a guest lecturer (INFOSEK Slovenia, Microsoft Vizija and others). Initiator and one of the organizers of the cybersecurity event and challenge Swiss Chese 2019. In the period from 2008 to 2012, he runs the blog “Information Security Short Takes”.
