On behalf of the organizational committee, we are pleased to invite you to attend the Conference on New Media Sustainability, which will be held on May 11, 2012 in the City Hall Center in Skopje.

Metamorphosis is organizing the conference with the support of the Embassy of the United States of America in Skopje, with an aim to contribute to increasing freedom of expression by helping Macedonian media adjust to the new market circumstances within the digital environment, through transfer of knowledge about international media development experiences and open discussion with stakeholders on regional and local context.

The keynote speaker at the event will be an U.S. expert, Mr. Markus Ickstadt, commercial director of Steamworks Interactive and former Sales Director of Associated Press (AP), who shall present the current trends and solutions from the perspective of his 21 years of experience in the news media business, with the goal of building new digital business models and viewing experiences.

The event will also feature a Round Table on the Challenges and Possible Solutions in Macedonia with participation of key stakeholders in the media business, including news media professionals, as well as representatives of marketing agencies, advertisers, government and civil sectors.

The conference will include live online coverage via video stream and structured discussions via Twitter (#mediumi or #медиуми), Facebook and Ping.mk.

Toni Gabrić was born in 1961 in Zadar, Croatia. He graduated in 1986 from the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb, departments of philosophy and phonetics.
