Good Governance: Free Access to Information in Local Self-Government

The main objective of the project was to prepare local self-government units to meet requirements of the Law on free access to information of public character. Online trainings were prepared and conducted on Law on free access to public information. An online learning and assisting system was developed specifically for this purpose.This project involved several FOSM initiatives: Law program, Information program and Public administration program in cooperation with the local self-government units.Expected results: To help local self-government units to establish processes for organising and storing information in a way that will enable easy access and locating. Carrying personnel to know what it is supposed to do and to do that. Public to know what to expect and to get that. Requests and decisions to be recorded and documented.
