Visualization – openness of Parliaments in the region and in North Macedonia

In cooperation with the partners from the “ACTION SEE” regional NGO network, Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society prepared the policy paper in which we analyze the level of transparency, openness, accountability of Parliaments in the Western Balkans region.

The openness of Parliament in the Republic of North Macedonia slightly improved compared to 2017, i.e. it fulfills 66% of the openness indicators, which is 5% more than the previous year. The trend of slightly improving openness is also observed at the regional level, as in the last year Parliaments have improved the fulfillment of the openness indicators by 4%. Now the regional average of openness is 66%, thus the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia with its 66% openness falls exactly within the regional average.
