We are pleased to invite you to the promotion of the book “111 theses on GTC“, edited by Ivana Vaseva and Filip Jovanovski, to be held on Thursday (April 23, 2015) at the Mobile Gallery of the Contemporary Arts Center (Park of the Francophonie in Skopje), at 11.00h.

The publication will be promoted by its editors, along with professor and architect Martin Guleski. The book is published by the Association for Culture and Arts FRU – Faculty of things you do not learn.

This publication is the product of the session of the readers’ group and the discussion titled “READING BUILDINGS: GTC AS A BOOK” that took place on November 29, 2014 at the Youth Cultural Center in Skopje, as part of the long-term project “Living Libraries: Archives of Civil Disobedience,” supported by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia (FOSM).

The book is partially a transcript of this meeting, aimed at reading through the City Trade Center (GTC) in Skopje. “111 theses on GTC” is a book comprised by expert opinions on the importance of this building, set in 11 theses by a total of 11 important theorists of the contemporary architectural scene in the country and edited with the help of all participants and the moderator of the discussion. The book contains articles and opinions of architects Minas Bakalcev, Dominika Boskova, Jasna Stefanovska, Ana Ivanovska – Deskova, Mihajlo Zinoski, Dejan Ivanovski, Misko Ralev, Danica Pavlovska, art historians Donka Bardjieva – Trajkovska and Nikola Pisarev, as well as anthropologist Goran Janev.
