We are pleased to inform you that the Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society is organizing an International Open Data Conference in Skopje, which will be held from 18-20 May 2022. This edition of the conference will focus on “Data and the Culture of Openness” and will consist of panel sessions, roundtables and trainings. The event is organized within the USAID Civic Engagement Project.
The conference aims to unite the open data community in order to share and learn, plan and collaborate on the future of open data, with special emphasis on the current situation in North Macedonia and the Western Balkans region.
During the three-day conference, a wide range of practitioners in the field of open data, representatives of governments and municipalities, media, user community, as well as business representatives and data experts from North Macedonia, Western Balkans and the world, will share their opinions, ideas, experiences and challenges related to the implementation of open data activities.
The conference is expected to discuss and debate open data policy for open cities – in terms of technical and non-technical challenges, achievements and plans. Speakers will address the need to accelerate interoperability, automation and data quality, as background processes that will provide greater value to open data.
