On December 15, 2023, the second interactive workshop on communication with media and fact checking on the topic of vaccination “Dialogues with the Media” was held, within “Misinformation Management System and Journalists Briefings” project implemented by Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society in partnership with UNICEF and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of North Macedonia, with the financial support from USAID.
The project aims to develop and integrate a Misinformation Management System in the work of the Ministry of Health thus enabling national health authorities to identify and respond to misinformation, disinformation and information gap related to vaccination that increase hesitancy related to vaccination in general and affect the trust in health authorities in North Macedonia.
At the workshop, the most common and most used arguments and facts in dealing with disinformation related to vaccination wере presented, after which the present health workers, epidemiologist and journalists were part of practical exercise for cooperation and dealing with misinformation, disinformation and information gaps related to vaccination, followed by a discussion, sharing of knowledge and networking.
This Activity is prepared by Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society as part of the Preventing and responding to COVID-19 in North Macedonia project funded by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of North Macedonia.
