The web application is the first tool of the OER Alliance for mobilizing wide support for the improvement of open education in Macedonia. The adoption of the Declaration is a step towards improving and promoting the concept of open education in order to raise the quality of the entire educational system.
Through this application and other upcoming promotional events, the relevant factors from the educational and scientific community, including the government, civil society and business sector are expected to sign this Declaration.
The web application is part of the www.oer.mk website – a resource center for open educational resources.
The Macedonia OER Declaration is based on the 2012 Paris OER Declaration adopted by UNESCO.
The OER Alliance is an open group of individuals, organizations and institutions functioning as an informal network with a common goal – raising the awareness and capacity of the academic and scientific community for the creation and use of open educational resources in the Republic of Macedonia.
