On 16 April 2021, the Metamorphosis Foundation, as part of the USAID Civic Engagement Project, organized a final coordination meeting to improve transparency and open data on local government units. The meeting presented the implemented activities and finalized documents that were prepared as a result of the support received by 17 municipalities.
In the past period, the Metamorphosis Foundation in cooperation with local civil society organizations and facilitators provided direct support to the following 17 local self-government units to improve transparency and openness in their work: Kavadarci, Štip, Prilep, Zrnovci, Vevčani, Aerodrom, Gjorče Petrov, Lipkovo, Kumanovo, Dolneni, Tetovo, Želino, Rosoman, Strumica, Vasilevo and the City of Skopje.
During the months of March and April, each municipality worked on the preparation of open data sets that will be published on their websites in the coming period.
The implemented activities contribute to the efforts of the municipalities to be more open to the citizens and to base their transparency on open data and information.
