On April 5, 2016 (Tuesday), a round table discussion titled Civil sector and media for good governing will take place at the EU Info Center, at 11:00AM. This round table discussion will cover the following topics: good governing, media, civil participation, transparency and accountability, fight against corruption and all other aspects that define good governing.

The attendants will have the opportunity to follow up several presentations that focus on the importance of the civil participation, the media role in informing the public about the good governing, transparency of institutions as well as experiences from the anti-corruption program. After the presentations, the attendants can discuss the priorities and challenges which they identify as significant when it comes to good governing, civil participation and media.

This event marks the beginning of the project ACTION SEE – Accountability, Technology and Institutional Openness Network in SEE which is conducted by the Foundation Metamorphosis, partnered with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy from Great Britain, CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability from Serbia, Citizens Association Why not? from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Center for Democratic Transition from Montenegro, Open Data Kosovo (ODK) from Kosovo and Levizja Mjaft! from Albania.

The project’s aim is to increase the inclusion the civil society and media organizations in creating public opinion, the policy creation process and in the participation in the mechanisms of the decision-making processes as well as to raise the capacity of civil societies to address sensitive issues.
