As part of USAID’s Civic Engagement Project, the Metamorphosis Foundation conducted two online trainings to promote transparency and openness of the local government units. The trainings were held on 25 and 26 January and 28 and 29 January 2021. The trainings were attended by 36 representatives from 17 municipalities and 8 civil society organizations.
The trainings aim to promote the transparency and openness of the municipalities in the Republic of North Macedonia. During the two-day trainings, the participants had the opportunity to gain practical knowledge on using the tools for openness and transparency, to involve citizens in the decision-making process, to get acquainted with the concept of open city, to gain knowledge about the concept and benefits of open data, as well as with practical knowledge of the process of publishing open data sets.
Within USAID’s Civic Engagement Project, the Metamorphosis Foundation in the coming period will provide the support of municipalities in order to promote their openness.
