We invite you to be part of the Project-based education program: “Fight Against Disinformation” which will be held in the period 16 to 28 December 2020. As part of the program, 4 training sessions are planned on the following dates: 13, 18, 22 and 26 January 2021, from 2:00 pm to 3:30pm.
During this training, mainly through interactive activities, you will be introduced to the modern milieu of creating disinformation, their distribution and, most importantly, the ways and techniques to fight them through both direct and preventive activities, such as:
- fact-checking,
- targeting audiences to build positive narratives,
- exciting storytelling that will interest your audience and
- taking steps to protect your organization from destructive attacks that contain misinformation
During the program, participants will be encouraged to design their own real campaigns for fighting disinformation. The best idea will receive funds for implementation.
The trainer of this program is Vladimir Petreski who is a longtime journalist and editor, and since 2013 has been the editor of the fact-checking programme at the Metamorphosis Foundation: The fact-checking service (proverkanafakti.mk – 2013-17), Crithink (crithink.mk) and Truthmeter (vistinomer.mk). At the same time, he works on training journalists and activists from non-government organizations in the country and the region on topics such as Fact-checking Methodology, recognition and fight against hate speech, freedom of speech and its legal framework, media literacy, fight against disinformation and more.
The working language of the program is Macedonian.
