Metamorphosis Foundation, in collaboration with the National Center for Computer Incident Response (MKD – CIRT) of the Agency for Electronic Communications, is organizing a webinar called “Basics of Cybersecurity with the MKD – CIRT” on 15.02.2023 (Wednesday) from 10:00 to 12:00. The webinar is organized within the framework of the project “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA”, co-funded by the European Union.
The webinar is directed towards building the citizens’ capacities for cybersecurity basics, maintaining cyber hygiene, as well as providing good practices for the online security of citizens, digital devices, and data on the internet. Among other things, the citizens will be able to recognize phishing and fake emails and will know how to protect themselves on social media and their personal data on the internet after the webinar. The citizens will also be introduced to cybersecurity in the home, the techniques of protection of important data, the use of strong passwords, ransomware, and the importance of backup. The role the MKD – CIRT plays in the area of cybersecurity, as well as the services and the free online trainings it provides for the citizens will also be emphasized during the webinar.
The webinar will be held in the Macedonian language and will take place on the ZOOM platform. All registered users will get a link to join ZOOM a day before the webinar. Those who attend the webinar will also get participation certificates on the e-mail addresses they submitted during the registration.
