How do chatbots work, where do they get their information from, and how do they decide what the right answer to our question is? Where are these language models mostly used? Which questions should a chatbot know how to answer and which questions shouldn’t? And perhaps most importantly, what are the ethical dilemmas raised by the increasing availability of chatbots?

What does the future hold for us and what will the internet, search, and our everyday life look like in an online world in which we would constantly interact with chatbots?

These are some of the questions that we will try to answer at the debate for young people “Is there an understanding with chatbots?” that will be held on February 22 (Wednesday) in Public Room in Skopje, starting at 6:00 p.m. The following people will debate the topic:

  • Tamara Dimitrova, lecturer at Brainster Next College
  • Petar Fidanovski, Advisor for IT standardization in the Ministry of Information Society and Administration
  • Nino Karas, CEO and co-founder of CodeWell Group and CodeWell AI

The event is of an open nature and young people are expected to attend it. All interested parties are invited to fill out the registration form available at the link: https://forms.office.com/e/5r5zpdBbjc

The event is organized by the Metamorphosis Foundation in synergy with the project “Increasing Civic Engagement in the Digital Agenda – ICEDA” which is co-financed by the European Union, and the project “Reliable News for Empowered Youth” funded by the British Embassy in Skopje.

Note: Due to the needs of the project, the event will be photographed and broadcast live on the Facebook profile of the Metamorphosis Foundation.
