As part of the USAID Civic Engagement Project, the Metamorphosis Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, conducted two two-day online training for open data. The trainings took place in the period from 31 August to 3 September 2020. The trainings were attended by open data officers and persons working in the field of open data from 22 state institutions.

Open data trainings aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of people working on data opening in state institutions. During the two-day training, participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge about the concept and benefits of open data and the technical aspects, including open data formats, open data platforms, data set structure, data quality dimensions and filtering techniques, and data sets anonymization. During the trainings, the participants gained advanced knowledge about the process of identification, cataloguing and prioritization of data sets, as well as practical knowledge about the process of publishing data sets on the portal data.gov.mk

Within the USAID Civic Engagement Project, a total of three open data trainings of this type have been held so far, attended by 63 participants from 28 state institutions.
