As part of the USAID Civic Engagement Project, the Metamorphosis Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, organized an online training for open data trainers. The training was held on 16 and 17 June 2021 and was conducted by experts from the Open Data Institute from Great Britain. The training was attended by 12 participants from 9 state institutions.

The purpose of the training was to improve the knowledge and skills of people from state institutions to be able to train other civil servants on this topic, as well as to provide support to their colleagues to increase the quantity and quality of data they publish.

During the two-day training, the participants gained advanced knowledge about the obstacles that exist in opening data from state institutions and ways to overcome them through the application of advanced techniques for data processing and publishing.

In the coming period, the training participants, in coordination with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, will hold open data trainings and will support institutions in the data opening process.
