Metamorphosis Foundation publishes a request for expression of interest on the part of suppliers of consulting services for mentoring the STEP network members for the Smart Tourism Enhancement Project – STEP.

The project activities are currently underway (ending on 31 March 2020), while the mentorship will last for a maximum of 9 months according to previously developed description of remit and timeline, which will be determined additionally, in the region of Elbasan and Polog for nearly 60 small and medium enterprises (approximately 30 in each region in Macedonia and Albania).

The project is supposed to create a base of several mentors with skills and knowledge needed for the consulting period:

  • Branding support of businesses/products/services of the STEP members (restaurants, hotels, hostels, weekend house owners and other tourist subject) in order to increase the advantages
  • Support of tourist entities for using marketing tools (focus on online marketing) in order to become more visible on the internet as well as on the domestic and foreign markets
  • Building of entrepreneurial skills
  • Communication, hospitality and client relations
  • Online customer service, e-communications with interested parties

These mentors seek to provide practical experience to the STEP network members as well as other tourist private and public subjects involved in the capacity-building process. They will be constantly advised and aided according to a previously developed timeline and will be provided with necessary information and advice on specific questions related to the strengthening of tourism in the cross-border region with the aim to promote STEP’s objectives. All project partners will be available for the trainers during the Action.

Participants in this call can be legal entities – consulting agencies and nongovernmental organizations as well as individuals with experience in the five areas listed above, which will be demonstrated by a portfolio of past similar activities as a part of their CV.

Candidates ought to have a degree in economy, business, management, tourism, ICT, communications that will correspond with the areas, as well as 3+ years of work experience in the area they apply for. Knowledge of Albanian will be considered an asset. Additionally, experience in the area of tourism will be considered an asset.
