Metamorphosis Foundation and Open Data Kosovo each had representatives at yesterday’s Breakfast with Ministers, as part of the Fourth Western Balkans Digital Summit, this year organized in Podgorica between October 11-13, by the Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media, and the Regional Cooperation Council, with the support of the European Union. The Breakfast with Ministers was an interactive event, hosted by Ms. Tamara Srzentić, Minister of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media, Montenegro and Mr. Jeton Shaqiri, Minister of Information Society and Administration, North Macedonia. The event created a space for a fruitful discussion with distinguished interlocutors where they had the opportunity to share their views and experience on proposed topics. The entire event was moderated by Ms. Marina Banović, State Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media, Montenegro.

Representatives of institutions that participated at the event were Ivana Šarić, Cheaf of e-Government at the General Secretariat of the Council of the Ministers (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Tamara Srzentić, Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration, Digital Society and Media (Montenegro), Artane Rizvanolli, Minister of the Ministry of Economy (Kosovo), Jeton Shaqiri, Minister of the Ministry of Information Society and Administration (North Macedonia), and Mila Carovska, Minister of the Ministry of Science and Education (North Macedonia).

The business sector was represented by Tarik Zaimović, CEO of the ICT Cortex (Montenegro), Violeta Jovanović, CEO of NALED (Serbia), Linda Shomo, AITA Board Member (Albania), Bojan Vujić, Chairman of the Board of Infinity International Group, Prointer ITSS (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Aneta Antova Pesheva, President of the Management Board, Chamber of Commerce for Information and Communication Technologies (North Macedonia), and Marjan Stojanović, Head of ICT Association within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Serbia (Serbia).

The civic sector representatives were Ardian Hackaj, Research Director and Coordinator of Tirana Connectivity Forum within CDI Institute, (Albania), Blerta Thaci, CEO of Open Data Kosovo (Kosovo), Mila Josifovska Danilovska, Programme Manager, Social Accountability and Human Rights Online at Metamorphosis Foundation (North Macedonia), Predrag Lešić, co-founder of Digitalizuj.me (Montenegro) and Vjollca Cavolli, CEO of Kosovo ICT Association (Kosovo).

Building on the experience of the high-level regional dialogue on digital transformation, the Western Balkan Digital Summit 2021 was held in the framework of the Berlin Process and the Common Regional Market Action Plan for the Western Balkans adopted in Sofia in November 2020.
