Watch the interview with the Executive Director of the Rural Coalition, Liljana K. Jonoski conducted by the regional info portal InfoCompass where we talk about the need for digitalization and modernization of Macedonian agriculture, but also about how much and whether farmers are familiar with e-services and how to use them.
Only 19% of the inhabitants in the rural areas in 6 mountain regions have used e-service so far, mostly related to the electronic application for subsidies, issuance of e-certificates for employment status, birth certificates and property certificates.
64% of farmers prefer to go to the counter or to be informed about the needs and services by phone through direct contact with employees in institutions, but it is interesting that the use of social networks for information is growing, so this type of being informed is used by as many as 60% of the inhabitants in the rural areas. The third place is reserved for the TV and the radio as media.
