On Monday, 28 February 2022, starting at 3:00 PM, the event “Disinformation against Covid-19 vaccines and how to deal with them” will be held.

The online event is organized by the Metamorphosis Foundation from Skopje and will present the activities and achievements of the project entitled “Rapid Response to Vaccine Disinformation”, which the Metamorphosis Foundation from Skopje implemented through its digital editions Truthmeter, Meta.mk and Portalb, which was supported by the Balkan Trust for Democracy, an initiative of the German Marshall Fund in Washington.

Within the one-hour discussion, the final document entitled “Facts, persistence and consistency – the most important weapons in the fight against vaccine disinformation” will be presented, which is an overview of activities in the field of fact-checking of disinformation about vaccines, as well as numerous published topics and explanations related to vaccine and Covid-19 disinformation that the project team encountered during the work.

Speakers at the event are:

Vladimir Petreski – Editor of the portal Truthmeter, who will present the gained experience and the recommendations and conclusions reached during the project, in order to serve the fact-checkers and journalists, as well as all those who work on informing about Covid-19 and health issues in the future when faced with such disinformation.

Aleksandra Geogrgieva – Doctor and President of the Association of Trainees and Young Doctors, who will share the experiences from her regular work, above all, the experiences gained in communication with patients, as well as in consulting within the project.

Miroslava Burns – journalist, editor and fact-checker, who will present a series of examples from numerous fact-checkings and explain the most common disinformation regarding vaccines and wider health topics.
