From 27 to 31 January 2020, representatives of the Metamorphosis Foundation together with organizations/partners of Techsoup Europe: Fundacja TechSoup (FTS) – Poland (Project Leader), NIOK Foundation – Hungary, Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation WCIF – Bulgaria and Fundraising Verband Austria – Austria, were part of the first training of the Erasmus + mobility program within the project “Strengthening the Civil Sector through Training and Education”. The training was hosted by STGM Civil Society Development Center from Ankara, Turkey.
Erasmus+ Mobility Training is a joint project of several network partners and aims to develop the capacity and competencies of TSE network staff, increase existing training resources, build an in-house TSE curriculum framework and promote collaboration within network partners. The first training on building effective communication took place in January 2020 in Ankara.
Building effective communication strategies
This time the training was focused on building effective communication strategies and building practical skills in order to create attractive content for specific target groups. The workshop was based on practices from the Academy of Good Communication that was somehow tried, tested and shared between partners who are part of the TechSoup Europe education program.
The main goals of the training were:
- Learning how to plan communication in order to develop a strong position and brand of the organization;
- Taking an important step towards creating a communication plan for the organization;
- Getting to know the tools, programs and applications useful for creating attractive graphic materials as well as improving the efficiency of the organization in the field of social media.
Networking and sharing best practices
The participants not only gained new skills and knowledge to understand the importance of digital marketing in various aspects of the functioning of CSOs, but they also worked on the needs of their audience and became aware of new tools for creating attractive content.
The Mobility Projects are implemented by the non-profit organization Információs és Oktató Központ (NIOK), Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation WCIF, Solidatech, FVA and Metamorphosis, and are (co-)funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union.
The TechSoup Foundation has implemented a digital and skills training project for the social sector co-financed by European funds.
